Display—touchscreen damage

Echte Panne mit dem Ampera oder dem Volt? Was waren die Fehlerquellen und wie wurde es repariert?

Display—touchscreen damage

Beitrag von Ceu »

Hello
My ampera touchscreen turns blue and doesn't work. It has energy ,all the functions are working but the screen is dead. My mecanic says i have to buy a new one but is too expensive. Does anyone had the same problem?
Here in portugal there are few amperas and theres no experience on this kind of cars.
Thank you

Hi Ceu,

try to disconnect the 12V battery for 7 - 10 minutes and see if that fixes your screen.

If that doesn't help, did you see how your mechanic opened your center console? It is very easy to do and maybe you will find a simple fault, for example a broken / loose wire that causes your dead screen:

Otherwise you will have to buy a new screen from your dealer or ebay, you have to check the different prices:

Good luck!
